In Dante's Hell, a man suffers eternal thirst while standing chin deep in water. We are surrounded by people yearning for authentic connection and nurturing touch, yet often feeling cut-off and unable to make caring, nurturing connections. It is a symptom of the dominant, oppressive culture which discourages sharing--from materials goods to simple touch--and which has commodified and commercialized our bodies and sexuality and created a scarcity mentality that is not real (and that can lead to alienation, unhappiness, depression, aggression, and fear).

LoveTribe is engaged in a spiritual and ecological work that is grounded in our bodies, helping to germinate a new, more sustainable culture based on abundance, vitality and sharing. LoveTribe recognizes that we are all connected on a spiritual or energetic level, and is helping foster more heart-conscious, touch-positive communities that nurture our whole selves by creating gatherings where we can learn and practice skills for getting our needs for authentic connection, affection and play met in healthy, caring ways.

When we can feel safe in our bodies sharing affectionate and playful touch, then sharing all the blessing of Mother Earth comes more naturally. By sparking a new culture of abundance and vitality, we seek to eclipse the old culture of scarcity and fear-driven decision-making and bring about a sustainable planet. We do this not by fighting over ideas, but by becoming happy, healthy, vibrant people in our bodies and inviting others to share in our play! Begun in 2002, LoveTribe has grown through word of mouth and has members in over 700 cities in every state and 35 other countries on 5 continents. How does this site work?

This site provides a medium for Tribe members to share events, resources, poetry, articles, true stories and more that help us better appreciate and honor our interconnectedness and the myriad ways we can deepen our relationships, overcome alienation, and rediscover our passions and connections with each other. Tribe members can post and view events on our calendar, participate in community forums and make new connections and meet new friends in our Community Pages.

LoveTribe honors and celebrates our diversity, including Gay, Lesbian, BiSexual, BiSensual, Trans, Pan, Poly, Heteroflexible & Straight. There is no cost to join or use this site, so come explore, play, dance, sing and seek wild abandon with us!
